Where to Travel this Spring

A lake as clear as Tahiti, desert superblooms, secluded beach coves and more for a perfect spring getaway

Bacalar, Mexico

Marrakesh, Morocco

Experience the vibrant colors, rich culture, and enchanting ambiance of Marrakech this spring. From the bustling souks of the Medina, where you can haggle for unique treasures and aromatic spices, to the serene gardens of Jardin Majorelle, bursting with exotic flora, Marrakech offers an unforgettable sensory journey. Immerse yourself in the rhythms of local life as you sip mint tea in traditional riads, indulge in sumptuous Moroccan cuisine under the starlit sky, and marvel at the intricate architecture of historic landmarks like the Bahia Palace and Koutoubia Mosque. With its perfect blend of ancient charm and modern jaunts like the YSL museum, Marrakech calls to embrace the spirit of wanderlust and embark on an unforgettable journey this spring.

Algarve, Portugal

With miles of jaw-dropping coastlines, fresh seafood, great surf, and 75 degree weather there aren't many reasons why you should not travel to the Algarve in the spring. Most of Europe flocks to the Algarve coastline in the summer but the spring months are still relatively quiet. Almond trees are in blossom, citrus are still in full swing and the chances of you getting a little cove at the beach all to yourself to sunbathe are highly likely. Stay in the Western Algarve if you're looking for more quaint towns and surf.

Joshua Tree National Park, USA

Before the high temps of summer, spring in Joshua Tree National Park is a perfect time to go and it is an easy drive from Palm Springs if you wanted to combine the two. There is nothing quite like a night out in this desert under a blanket of stars, and you are sure to see the Milky Way. Set out on the FortyNine Palms hike in a desert oasis, try rock climbing, get breakfast at the JT Country Kitchen and you are sure to have a nice spring getaway. A bonus to make those hikes even more beautiful, Joshua Tree is expected to have a super bloom spring 2024!

Seville, Spain

If you are looking for a more urban getaway with culture and timeless charm Seville is great choice. In spring the city's vibrant spirit comes alive amidst blooming bougainvillea, lively plazas, and centuries-old architecture. Immerse yourself in the rhythm of flamenco echoing through the cobbled streets, as the fragrance of orange blossoms fills the air, creating an enchanting atmosphere like no other. From the iconic Alcázar palace with its lush gardens to the awe-inspiring Cathedral and Giralda tower, Sevilla boasts a rich tapestry of history and culture waiting to be explored. Indulge in the flavors of Andalusian cuisine at bustling tapas bars, sip on refreshing sangria under the warm sun, and witness the spectacle of Semana Santa (Holy Week) and Feria de Abril (April Fair) as the city bursts into a frenzy of color and fervor. With its blend of tradition and modernity, Sevilla beckons travelers to experience the magic of springtime in the heart of Andalusia. You can also combine this with a trip to Morocco for a great mix of Europe and Africa.

Bacalar, Mexico

Do as the Mayans did and jump into the fresh crystal clear waters of the cenotes that are plentiful in Bacalar, Mexico. In the “Lagoon of Seven Colors” it feels as if you might actually be in Tahiti in the crystal clear blue and turquoise waters and over 60km pristine white sand. From snorkeling to paddleboard, experience the calm and tranquil beauty of Bacalar. Take in the lush greenery culminating in the spring arrival at the Mayan ruins Kohunlich and Dzibanché. Balacar is off the beaten path and way less crowded than Tulum if your looking for more secluded R&R this spring.
