1. Kauai

Kauai is the best of the islands of Hawaii if you are looking for a quiet romantic and authentic Hawaii experience. It is known as the "garden isle" and it truly is with lush green rainforest sweeping the entire island. Some of the most dramatic coastlines in Hawaii are along the Nepali Coast of Kauai. Take a sunset cruise with dolphins along the coast or take an overnight kayaking trip to really get secluded in the island experience.

2. Big Sur

Big Sur sits along the mid Pacific Coast Highway of California. It is arguably one of the most picturesque views in the state. Crystal clear aqua blue waters sit against a mountainous coastline and feel like a breath of fresh air. Cozy up in a cabin and read a novel by Jack Kerouac, who is said to have found inspiration in the woods and on the beaches of Big Sur. Take a walk to McWay Falls to catch a site of a waterfall falling onto the beach of a secluded lagoon.

3. Lake Powell

Frequently known as a spring break hotspot, it is surprisingly a very romantic destination for a honeymoon if done right. Calming aesthetic at Amangiri offers a serene color palette for ultimate relaxation and intimacy. Rent a boat or kayak into the blue waters of the lake at Lone Rock Beach. There are many inlets that you can only reach by kayak or boat to find your own private swimming and cliff jumping spot for the ultimate romance.

4. Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is another destination that is beautiful all year round, winter or summer months being the best. The lake is fresh water and sits in the Sierra Nevada, between California and Nevada. Lake Tahoe is vast, and you can find an array of activities from beaches to skiing.

In the summer find a private lagoon like Hidden Beach, and dive into waters that are as clear as the caribbean. In the winter, hit the slopes and take in the stunning mountains and world class powder.




5. Cannon Beach

Another west coast destination, Cannon Beach is along the coast of Oregon. Featuring the ever unique Haystack Rock along with purple and pink sunsets that will amp up the romance. The way the waves crash on the shore here is so calming with a soft overlapping that brings the tide far enough out that you can get close to the rocks. Walk along the beach at sunrise and you might be lucky enough to see the shore is lined with sand dollars.

6. Glacier

For the nature loving couple. Glacier National Park in Montana is a serene mountain escape with dramatic landscapes around every corner. Would suggest as a spring and summer destination because it can get heavy snow and reach temps below zero. For the ultimate romance take a drive up Going to The Sun Road and backpack your way into the park for private seclusion.

7. Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole, Wyoming is the romantic town of the wild west with some of the best 5-star hotels, and amenities for all the pampering and spoiling you could want on a honeymoon. Take a horseback ride for a view of the Teton mountains in the summer and fall or hit the slopes in the winter. Also, Yellowstone National Park is not far if you wanted to catch a glimpse of Old Faithful.

8. Sedona

Sedona, Arizona is an excellent pick for a mini moon or weekend getaway. The warm inviting desert colors will warm your heart, and the weather will too. 9. Sitka

Only accessible by boat or by air, Sitka, Alaska is the ultimate secluded honeymoon adventure destination. The charming town is on Baranof Island and has art galleries and restaurants all walkable. There are also plenty of outdoor activities available including the jaw dropping view of the northern lights from April to September.

10. Key West

Key West, Florida is the most southernmost point of the U.S. only 90 miles from Cuba. It is the former home of Earnest Hemingway, who when he was not writing was known to be deep fishing of the coast. Key west has stunning coral reefs making it an amazing place to scuba dive, and snorkel. Or just relax on the beach, and sip on a Rum Runner.
